    Job Description

    Looking to utilize underground water resources, well drillers drill far beneath the earth’s surface. They drill exploratory wells to locate good drinking water sources. They set up the site, drill the well shafts and also install the piping and pump systems required to convey the water reliably to the surface. Their drilling operations also locate mineral resources or survey water tables. Well drillers also rehabilitate old wells and construct groundwater draw-down systems to stabilize foundations of building structures.

    Individual Activities

    • Set-up and site security measures for drilling or well construction sites
    • Selection and configuration of drilling machinery and tooling
    • Test boreholes for subsoil surveys
    • Vertical and horizontal borehole drilling using various drilling methods
    • Installation of filters and gravel into the well
    • Maintenance and rehabilitation of wells
    • Construction and operation of groundwater drawdown systems
    • Operation and maintenance of instruments, equipment and machines
    • On-site dimensional measurements

    Job Description

    Automotive technicians specialized in automobile technologies carry out maintenance of vehicles with 2 or more axles used to transport up to 9 passengers. The training duration is 3.5 years and is carried out via the HWK (Chamber of Handicrafts).
